“What a hellacious commute,” I overheard in NY.

I guess it was a bad 3-hour trip into work, but what saddens the BRBs more is the damage of our beloved neighborhood–

We hope everyone is alright and that the trees (and homes) grow back more beautiful than ever.

Eating Crocus

It’s that time of year again…when the weather jerks us around like a 5-year-old boy with severe ADD, or something day-time hooker something something (apologies. “Earl” was too good last night.)

But it’s amazing how every once in a while nature starts up without notice and it’s such a lovely surprise that we can’t stop recording it digitally. Check out the PIX page for more

or our flickr–>flickr_icon

The BRB would like to thank you all for participating in this nonsense, for giving us hope that we can still believe, and especially to all those special children that can’t help but “let go.”

We will try not to.

This daily posting thing is hard, even for something as innocuous as balloons. We don’t know how other sites do it, but kud0z indeed!

All things must come to a stop when Balloons in Bay Ridge are concerned.

And an additional shot taken at the 79th Street/Shore Rd Park during what was suppose to be a meteor shower, but since it was so cloudy, we got a little creative —

Baseball fields and some of our sister island, Staten, seen here.

Okay, so it’s the same balloons, but dammit they were still there so we HAD to get a picture. Moreover, a better one. Well…we think so anyhow. Ain’t they purty??

Not to bore you ALL with our own personal festishes, but we happen to adore colorful balloons stuck in high places, besides our hearts. We’ve been noticing this a lot in the area recently.

and a quick update–Chock full o’Nuts Fastest at 80th and 3rd looks good to go, but alas they need employees. So hurry up and apply so we can star our mornings off right with the Chock Classic (datenut bread with cream cheese)!!!
